    Technology leaders will explore a best practices in hardware selection, network management and security, online testing requirements, cyber safety, disaster recovery, 1:1 immersion projects, and Total Cost of Ownership.

    Effective budgeting, bid requirements, purchasing laws, donation policies, E-Rate management, financial planning, and more will be covered in this course for district-level technology leaders. This online course lasts for 3 weeks. Week 1 is initially available. Week 2 will be available on the following Tuesday; likewise with Week 3. This course has no face-to-face components.

    Technology leaders will discuss personnel issues related to hiring, documentation, firing, and team building. They will explore the best ways to organize their staff and how to grow them as a team. 

    The purpose of the TCEA Chromebook Certification program is to help classroom teachers build foundational skills in using the Chromebook as an effective instructional tool with their students. This program is completely online and self-paced, making it convenient for educators with busy schedules. Educators completing Chromebook Certification (Level 1) will have the knowledge and understanding to effectively integrate the Chromebook and Google Apps for Education (GAFE) into their content and use it for a variety of engaging and meaningful instructional activities.
